What`s on 10th – 15th July

The Mill is a place for you to enjoy your hobbies or learn something new. Whether its learning new languages such as English, Spanish, Italian or even Japanese with your child, The Mill is a place to be.  We have more activities for children such as Grow your Own Theatre and the Children`s Creative Dance Workshop. The Chess Club is also popular with older children and its for adults to take part in too. Come along and join The Mill Knitters if you fancy – you could become part of a prestigious Knitting Group or if you have plans setting up a Community Interest Company, The Social Spider are here to offer you the advice you need. Psssssst…. please be sure not to miss the SUMMER AT THE MILL with the  E17 Designers Fair on Saturday 14th July.  Treat yourself or stock up for Christmas!! Tuesday 10th July

SOFT: A Tactile exhibition of Textile Art and Craft.
SOFT is an exhibition of textile art, knitting, crochet, patchwork, embroidery – all things tactile and beautifully crafted.

 

12:00 – 13:30 English conversation with Cllr Clare
Practice speaking English with Cllr. Clare Coghill and Adele Tinman. All nationalities welcome.

13:30 – 15:30 ‘Coppermill Recycled Teenagers’ ( for local senior citizens)
The senior citizens group “The Coppermill `Recycled Teenagers” and their leader Sue Clarke meet, they devise a variety of activities and discussions. Small donation is welcomed.

17:30 – 19:30   Grow Your Own Theatre – Youth Theatre 11-15 yrs
For young budding theatre actors/actresses in Walthamstow. Make your own show from scratch. Sign up to be one of our young creatives now and get your free membership pack. The seminar will assist charities and community groups, and individuals with a good idea, in deciding whether social enterprise is for them – and assist public sector employees and others in understanding the needs of social enterprises, and the potential benefits of working with them.

…..chill at The Mill, buy from your friendly, local designers and hang out at the fashionable end of the Market…raffle tickets will be on sale, proceeds to the Mill-win an E17 Designers Goody Bag or two! The Mill Cake Bakers will also be here, and children can use the playroom alongside the main space. A fun event for all!!

14:00 – 16:00 Spanish for You
Spanish is a fun and easy language to learn. This course is aimed at beginners and improvers and you will learn how to ask for information, get around, order food and drink and start basic conversations.  I am a native Spanish speaker, with a teaching qualification from the UK, so why not get enrolled and enjoy a Spanish adventure! The cost is £6 per session (payable in advance). If you are not sure you are welcome to come along to a class and try it out. Who is it aimed at? Beginners and improver’s – Everyone is welcome! Aged from 11 years upwards. What to pay? Minimum donation £2 towards The Mill. What to bring? A few chess sets would be available, but please bring your own set – if you have one! See you there!
