“The sun has got his hat on hip hip hip hurray and June is round the corner and so is  the Jubilee day. What will you be doing to celebrate that day, will you be dancing at a party , or making some cupcakes??”  What are your answers? This is the Neighbourhood Watch meeting for residents of Edward Road and adjacent roads.

Friday 1st June

10:00 – 12:00  Knitting Group
The Mill Community space knitting group meets every Friday from 10am to 12 noon. For experienced knitters or the complete novice. Support and teaching where required. Everyone welcome.

Saturday 2nd June

10.00 – 15.30 Come find out about Children’s Saturday Art Workshop: Stipple and stencil
Children create a portfolio of animal prints: crocodiles, lizards, snakes, turtles, star fish and more. See examples that the children will be creating and talk to the artist David Barnett of see ‘n’ make on 2 June from 11 – 4.30. Suitable for children aged 8 – 12 (places limited to 8 children) quality materials are supplied and children keep their work.
Workshops start on Saturday 16 June, 4 – 5 pm and run for 5 weeks. Price £25 per child.

Spanish is a fun and easy language to learn. “This course is aimed at beginners and improvers (of any age) and you will learn how to ask for information, get around, order food and drink and start basic conversations. The class will run on Saturdays from 2-4pm. I am a native Spanish speaker, with a teaching qualification from the UK, so why not enrol! This course will run for 6 weeks starting from 28th April till 2 June. The cost is £10 per session (term payable in advance).
