What`s on at The Mill 3rd April – 5th April

At The Mill this week, we have a New Art Exhibition called RAGWORKS . East London`s Artist Gillian Lawrence exhibits her recycled and refreshed textiles in the ” RAGWORKS”. These are hand-sewn wall-hangings depicting Nursery rhyme and fairy story characters . Gillian`s work is here to stay until the 28th April so be sure to pop in to the reception and the Honest Library to see her work. Please call us on 020 8521 3211 if you need any further information about our events held at The Mill . 15:30 – 17:30  The Bronze Arts Award course for young people 11+
The Bronze Arts Award course will be run as a weekly after school session by local actress and script writer Libby Liburd. Libby’s specialism is in drama – but you can also use any other arts skills or interests that you have, ranging from MCing, dance, drawing, make up design, fashion design – the list is endless!
This is a free course funded by The Mill Community Grants programme, with 10 places available for local young people.

Do you like poetry? Do you like to hear poetry read aloud? If so come along to our poetry reading group at the Mill.
We meet @The Mill on the first Wednesday of every month at 7.30-9pm. Bring along a poem to read aloud. This can be an old favourite, a new favourite, or one that you have written yourself.All forms of poems are acceptable – rhyming, scanning or not – just read out something which isn’t TOO long.
