What’s on at The Mill 31st – 5th Feb

This week there’s a creative writing workshop for new writers as well as Creative Writing, Knitting Class and Yoga classes for all ages.

There is also a range of classes and dropins to help those who want to improve their English skills.

Tuesday 31st January

“English Conversation” with Cllr Clare (12pm – 1.30pm)

Informal English speaking sessions to help improve conversational English.

Coppermill Recycled Teenagers (Senior Citizens Discussion group) – 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Are you 60 and over? If so, you are invited to attend a tea party with the Coppermill Recycled Teenagers

Groundswell Art – ‘Waltham Story’ time (3.30pm – 5.30pm)

‘Waltham story’ time – Come and help create a short film based on the lives and stories of people who live in The Blackhorse Action Group Area! – delivered by Groundswell Art.

English as a Second Other Language (ESOL) AHEAD (6pm – 8pm)

The Bronze Art Awards course for young people aged 11+ (3.30pm – 5.30pm)

The Bronze Arts Award course will be run as a weekly after school session by local actress and script writer Libby Liburd. Libby’s specialism is in drama – but you can also use any other arts skills or interests that you have, ranging from MCing, dance, drawing, make up design, fashion design – the list is endless!

Significant Seams ‘Upcycling’ (11pm – 1pm)

Work with what you’ve got to make something more useful and beautiful!
Each two hour class will teach easy sewing techniques and share fun ideas.
The class will use sewing machines as well as some hand sewing, an iron to make bespoke transfers, and participants creative ideas.
Each session, from 11am to 1pm, is £6 and participants will need to bring an item for “up-cycling.”
