Come to Poetry at The Mill!

Poetry-lovers are meeting at The Mill, formerly St James Street Library, Wednesday 7th December at 7.30pm.

Our regular poetry slot on the first Wednesday of the month, 7.30 – 9pm.

Come and enjoy hearing poetry read aloud, whether you’re presenting your own work, or reading from a favourite poet, or just listening.

Suggested themes for this month are: Christmas and other year-end festivals, nativity generally, St Nicholas — and Pearl Harbor!

Lll poetry and poetry-readers welcome as always.

You don’t have to be a poet, just someone who — like us — enjoys reading poetry and hearing it read aloud.

All types of poetry are welcome, just come along and read out something aloud Don’t be intimidated.

I am not really a poet.

At poetry evenings I have read out my own haikus (the main advantage is they’re short), or the lyrics of 1960s pop songs.

The Poetry evening is at 7 Coppermill Lane E17, near St James Street station, Blackhorse Road tube and lots of buses. Meetings will be monthly – dates to be decided.

Bring your own poems or some by your favourite poets if you like.

See you there!
