Monday 29th Aug
Family Bike Ride – 1pm – 2pm
The Walthamstow Family Bike Club is coming to The Mill Join us for an easy bike ride to the Markfield Beam Engine Meet bank holiday Monday (29 Aug) 1pm @ The Mill The Family Bike Club is for absolutely everyone with a roadworthy bike. We run short local bike rides with plenty of brakes taylored to the slowest in the group. Nobody gets left behind. Contact Gerhard@wfcycling.org.uk (078 9403 5571)
Wednesday 31st Aug
Free Art Workshop for children – 12pm – 4pm
Do you want to make a rhino? Free art workshop, Wednesday 31st August, between 12noon and 4pm. Wanted – Children between 5 – 10 years to help make a Rhino for The Mill. We will use recycled materials, glue and paints. Come in your painting gear. Drop in between 12 and 4pm on Wednesday 31st August.
Create a newsletter – 4pm – 5pm
Have you ever wanted to be journalist? Have you ever wanted to tell everyone about something fascinating in your area? Have you ever wanted to raise an environmental issue? Or have you ever wanted to share your favourite recipe with everyone? Our community is created by different nations, different languages, different cultures, different hobbies and different views. That’s what makes us unique. Why not share it and learn something new at the same time? The Mill wants to give you this opportunity. We’re assembling a group of people eager to create a local newsletter sheet. We’re looking for people who would want to join us, gain experience, or simply become a local community journalist. If you think you could give it a shot, why not sign up for it. We want to start with a “Bang!” and issue your first bulletin in festive style, in December.
