“The Covid Lockdown and Heatwave of April 2020 gave me the momentum to finally tackle this large canvas that I stretched up a couple of years ago and has been sitting in my studio ever since. I treated the mould from the 3 months of winter rain and brought it out into the unseasonal heat of Spring 2020. Large circles are a theme in my work…this is a first in red hot colour.”
