Meet the Waltham Forest Echo’s team

We’ll be around to listen to any stories whether that’s a gripe with the council’s parking team, an exciting new community venture, or a whistleblowing account of local government maleficence.

We’re also keen to hear from anyone with glowing or critical feedback for the paper, and, if you’re thinking of writing for us, or want advice on a career in local journalism then please do come too!

This event comes as the Echo is about to celebrate its tenth year of being the only independent newspaper serving Waltham Forest, which is a miracle in itself given the ever tight margins and dwindling resources in local journalism.

We have never had any significant support from grant making bodies or outside investors, and so this event will also be a chance to find out more about how you can help us by joining our patron and supporter schemes.

Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
