What’s on Mon 28 Sept to Sun 4 Oct

Quirky cacti … and more

The small image for this blog/post is a little snapshot of a part of one of the postcard-size artworks which will soon be displayed and which you could win –  see main article on the website about the Greatest Little Art Show in E17 and call in to buy a raffle ticket. You could win a mini-masterpiece for just £1.

Meanwhile, this week you can treat yourself to a real cactus, which – thanks to lovely local artist Katja Rosenberg – has a name and personality. You can take one home for just £2 and enjoy the company of a prickly, but fun, friend.

Sunflowers in The Mill Garden at the height of their glory

If green-fingered activities are for you – do come along on Saturday 3 October (11am-1pm) to join The Mill Gardening Group. The amazing sunflowers are nearly over – but there’s still lots more to do in the garden and team leader Monica will look forward to welcoming you.

And there are also opportunities to create your own art. Contact Hatt Reiss on hattreiss@gmail.com or call 07808 403 307 to book a place on the Art & Animation Workshop on Tuesday 29 September (10.30am-1pm) – booking is essential. And the ever popular Kids’ Art Club is on Thursday 1 October (3.30-5pm) and parents and children are welcome to drop-in.

As ever – take a look at the calendar and click to find out more about all else that’s going on this week and how to join in – or just call in and chat to reception staff to find out more.

Our doors are open Tuesday-Sunday each week – remember to check opening times on the main page of the website – and we look forward to you calling in this week.
